Imtiaz Shaikh backs joint candidate of PML-F, PPP

SUKKUR, Sept 4: Following the nomination of Yar Mohammad Ghumro as district nazim by Pir Sahib Pagaro, an important meeting was held in Sukkur at the residence of Mr Ghumro on Saturday.

PPP leaders Khursheed Shah and Islamuddin Shaikh and PML leaders MPA Abid Jatoi, Babul Bhayo and MPA Imtiaz Shaikh attended the meeting.

The meeting discussed the political situation in the province, especially in Sukkur and Shikarpur districts, and formulated their plan of action for the third phase of the local government elections.

On the occasion, PML leader Imtiaz Shaikh assured them of his full support to joint candidates of the PML-F and the PPP.

SHC: The Sindh High Court, Sukkur bench, on Saturday issued notices to Sukkur TMO Allah Dino Chachar and Asif Ghouri to appear in the court on September 19.

The single bench of the Sindh High Court comprising Justice Sarmad Usmani issued the orders on a petition filed by Ghulam Qadir Jatoi, advocate, requesting that despite status quo issued by the court, construction of the water purification plant and a tower was under way on a plot of the Taluka Municipal, Sukkur, situated on the Minara Road.

The court ordered the TMO and Asif Ghouri, owner of the Ghouri departmental store, to appear in the court on September 19.
