SUKKUR, Sept 4: The government of Sindh has allocated an amount of Rs73.3 million for six projects in Sukkur and Khairpur districts. The amount will be spent in the water and power sector, during the current financial year under the Annual Development Programme 2005-06.

According to details, Rs44.64 million has been reserved for three ongoing schemes of Sukkur barrage’s repair. The Khairpur Feeder East and West canals would get Rs5.926 million for their remodelling.

An amount of Rs12.734 million has been allocated for three open canal schemes.

Man killed: A man was killed and two others were injured when a trawler overturned upon a car on the Sukkur bypass here on Saturday.

Zaibuddin, Qalander Bux and Jawed were on their way in a car to Sukkur from Shikarpur when reached at the Sukkur bypass, a trawler coming from the opposite direction overturned and fell upon the car.

As a result Zaibuddin was killed on the spot while Qalander Bux and Jawed were injured.

PR REFUND POLICY: The railway authorities have changed the rules of refund of tickets with immediate effect.

According to the notification, 100 per cent refund would be given to those who return their tickets 48 hours before departure. Those who return their tickets between 48 to 24 hours would get 90 per cent refund.

While 50 per cent refund would be allowed to those who return the ticket before 24 hours.
