KARACHI: Promotion of literacy urged


KARACHI, Sept 4: Sindh Home Minister Rauf Siddiqui urged the youth to devote all their time and energies for educational and constructive pursuits to achieve the future goals.

“Improvement of current literacy rate is indispensable for the progress and prosperity of the country,” the minister said while speaking at a prize distribution ceremony of position holders of O-Levels, organized here at the Arts Council of Pakistan.

Stressing the need of sufficiently trained and educated people, he said that the government was making all out efforts for promoting education and forming a literate society which was the need of the hour.

The home minister announced issuance of commendation certificates from the Sindh government for the students securing positions in the O-Levels.—APP
