Deadline for DPs camps not extended
PESHAWAR, Sept 1: The commissioner of Afghan refugees, NWFP, Sahibzada Mohammad Anis, said on Thursday that the Aug 31 deadline for the closure of camps in Kurram and Bajaur agencies had not been extended.
Refugees who had already registered themselves at verification centres would be repatriated to Afghanistan, he said in a press statement issued here.
The camps in Kurram and Bajaur agencies would be closed after the Afghan refugees had been repatriated. The process might take another week, the press release said.
