Four TNSM leaders held

SWAT, Sept 1: The Swat police arrested four leaders belonging to the banned Tehrik-i-Nifaaz Shariat-i-Muhammadi (TNSM) on Thursday. Acting in accordance with the Anti-Terrorism Act, the Swat police took the four leaders, Amir Malakand Maulana Safiullah, District Amir Maulvi Abdul Haq, Maulana Dost Mohammad and Amir Tehsil Mattah Mohammad Iqbal, into custody. Three of them belong to Tehsil Mattah and the fourth to Fatahpur.

It was learnt that the police called the four TNSM leaders to the police station on the pretext of holding a meeting and then took them into custody.—Online
