Four Wapda employees suspended

MARDAN, Sept 1: Wapda authorities have suspended four employees of City-I division, including a senior official, over an incident in which three people were electrocuted some ten days back.

Two women and a driver died when a truck hit a low-hanging 11,000 volt power line on the Mardan-Nowshra road. Three other women had suffered severe burns.

The Wapda’s executive engineer suspended SDO Zubair Khan, superintendent Anwar Gul and linemen Abdul Hadi and Fida Mohammad on charges of negligence.—Correspondent
