HYDERABAD: University announces admission schedule

HYDERABAD, Aug 31: The University of Sindh announced on Wednesday the admission schedule in all disciplines for bachelors and masters degree programme for academic session 2006. The disciplines include Natural Sciences, Pharmacy, Social Sciences, Arts, Commerce and Business Administration, Education and Islamic Studies.
Admission forms along with prospectus for bachelors and masters courses under open merit on regular, sports and self-finance scheme will be issued through the branches of Habib Bank Limited in Jamshoro and the Old Campus, Hyderabad, from Sept 10. The last date for submission of admission forms along with required documents is Sept 30.
Candidates who have passed Intermediate in pre-engineering, pre-medical, commerce and humanities (arts) or equivalent examination up to 2005 at least with 45 per cent marks from the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Hyderabad, or other recognized institutes are eligible for admission in bachelors programme.
BISE RESULT: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Hyderabad, here on Wednesday announced the result of Higher Secondary School Certificate part-II (class-XII) annual examination 2005 of humanities group (private and regular).
Among the boy students, the first position was bagged by Akeel Ahmed, son of Abdul Ghafoor Daidano, seat no.94900, of the Government College, Tando Mohammad Khan, by obtaining 784 marks. Naeem Ahmed, son of Farooque Ahmed Kaim Khani, seat no.94815, of the Government College Tandojam, and Ahmed, son of Mohammad Bachal Laghari, seat no.94657, of the Government Higher Secondary School, Chambar, have secured second and third position by obtaining 775 and 772 marks, respectively.
According to face sheet, a total number of 5137 regular and 4,216 private candidates appeared in the examination out of which 4,298 regular and 3,724 private candidates were declared successful in all the six papers.
The result of 104 candidates has been withheld for one or the other reason.
