KARACHI, Aug 30: The Karachi City Cricket Association (KCCA) on Monday honoured South African Academy squad. Speaking on the occasion, Sindh sports minister Qamar Mansoor appreciated Cricket South Africa for sending the team for a series of matches against Pakistan Academy and thanked the tourists for playing a four-day game in Karachi.

“The South Africans built the image of Pakistan by playing in Karachi since the city is a premier cricket centre of the country,” he said.

Dave Noseworthy, the coach-cum-manager of the SA Academy, remarked that hospitality extended to his team around the country was heart-warming.

“We certainly enjoyed playing in Pakistan and especially here in Karachi. Believe me, we found the place as safe as any other city around the world. Hopefully, we shall again come to this great country and will be delighted to play more matches in Karachi.”—APP
