HYDERABAD: HSC-II exam results announced


HYDERABAD, Aug 30: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Hyderabad has announced results of the higher secondary school certificate part-II (class-XII) annual examination 2005.

Among boy students in the pre-engineering group, the first position was shared by Hammad Sarwar, son of Sarwar Wahla Jat, and Zuhaibullah, son of Ghulamullah Shaikh, of the Cadet College Petaro by obtaining 925 marks.

Vinod Kumar Maheshwari, son of Herkirshan, and Faraz Rind, son of Ghulam Hussain Rind, of the Government Muslim Science College Hyderabad secured the second and third positions by obtaining 921 and 919 marks, respectively.

Among girl students, Onaizah Panhwar, daughter of Saleem Raza Panhwar, of the Army Public School Hyderabad secured the first position by obtaining 920 marks.

Saba Ghori, daughter of Sardar Khan Ghori, of the Latif Niazi Memorial Higher Secondary School Latifabad-11 secured the second position by obtaining 918 marks while Amna Ishtiaq, daughter of Ishtiaq Qureshi, of the College of Excellence for Girls Latifabad-6 bagged the third position by obtaining 912 marks.

According to face sheet of the result of pre-engineering group, a total number of 6,345 candidates appeared in examination, of which only 4,737 candidates were declared successful in all six papers.

PRE-MEDICAL GROUP: Among boy students of Ateeb Shaikh, son of Jawaid Shaikh, of the Preston Intermediate College Latifabad-2 secured the first position by obtaining 939 marks while Shehryar Gul, son of Shaukat Saeed Memon, of the National College of Science and Arts Badin bagged the second position by obtaining 910 marks.

The third position was bagged by Jibran Bajkhani, son of Akbar Ali Bajkani, of the Cadet College Petaro secured the third position by obtaining 909 marks.

Among girl students, Asra Talpur, daughter of Altaf Hussain alias Khamiso Talpur, of the Beacon House Public School Hyderabad bagged the first position by obtaining 913 marks while the second position was captured by Sidra Rajput, daughter of Sultan Ahmed Rajput, of the College of Excellence Latifabad-6 by obtaining 909 marks.

The third position was shared by Madiha Mehreen, daughter of Mirza Farooq Baig Mughal, of the College of Excellence Latifabad-6 and Alima Mohsin Zakai, daughter of Mohsin Ahmed Zakai Shaikh, of the Beacon House Public School Hyderabad, both of whom obtained 908 marks.

A total number of 12,463 candidates appeared in examination of which 9,048 candidates were declared successful.

SCIENCE GENERAL GROUP: Among boy students, Naveed Akbar, son of Ali Akbar, of the Government College Qasimabad secured the first position by obtaining 812 marks.

Jehanzeb Shah, son of Usman Shah Bukhari, and Shoaid Ali, son of Abdul Ghafoor Memon, of the Army Public School Thatta bagged the second and the third position by obtaining 788 and 786 marks, respectively.

The girl students of the science group outclassed their counterparts by securing more marks.

Saba Shaikh, daughter of Shafi Shaikh, of the Government Nazareth Girls College Hyderabad secured the first position by obtaining 824 marks while Bushra Qayyum, daughter of Rana Abdul Qayyum Rajput, and Saher, daughter of Shams Jafrani, of the Government Ghulam Hussain Hidayatullah Higher Secondary School secured the second and the third position by obtaining 805 and 790 marks, respectively.—Bureau
