All-round show by Farhad

KARACHI, Aug 29: A fine all-round performance by Farhad Mujtaba inspired Falconhouse Grammar School to a 33-run win over Progressive Public School in the NBP-KCCA Inter-school cricket tournament at the TMC ground on Sunday.

Farhad scored 47, with the aid of seven boundaries, as Falconhouse made 158 in 38 overs. Slow left-armer Osama Hussain picked up four for 26.

Progressive, in reply, were all out for 125 in the 35th over with off-spinner Mohammad Arsalan (three for 28) and man-of-the-match Farhad (two for 26) doing most of the damage.

In another match, Qadri Secondary School defeated GBSS Bagh-i-Hillar by five wickets at the Student Sports ground.

Summarised scores:

Falconhouse Grammar beat Progressive Public by 33 runs.

FALCONHOUSE GRAMMAR 158 in 38 overs (Farhad Mujtaba 47; Osama Hussain 4-26, Rameez Saleem 2-48); PROGRESSIVE PUBLIC 125 in 34.3 overs (Ali Mahboob 38; Mohammad Arsalan 3-28, Farhad Mujtaba 2-26).

Qadri Secondary beat GBSS Bagh-i-Hillar by five wickets.

GBSS BAGH-I-HILLAR 99 in 24.3 overs (Ashfaq Khan 31, Haji Khan 26; Sher Khan 3-16, Maroof Aziz 3-25); QADIR SECONDARY 103-5 in 15.3 overs (Arsalan Javed 43, Jahangir Khan 33).
