Published August 29, 2005

GILGIT, Aug 28: The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) will set up swift centres in all the remaining sub divisions of Northern Areas to expedite issuance of computerized national identity cards to people of the region.

This was stated by Nadra Director General, Islamabad region, Brig Kamal Aziz while talking to newsmen here.

He hoped that the process will be completed by June 2006.

He said the authority had registered 50 per cent of the population so far with minimum chances of mistakes because the process was examined through machines.—APP
