Sami criticizes JI’s alliance with ANP

By Our Correspondent

QUETTA, Aug 27: Senator Maulana Samiul Haq, a leader of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA), has criticized the alliance between the Awami National Party (ANP) and Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) for the Peshawar Nazim slot.

Deviation from ideological stance for political gain was tantamount to the death of the MMA.

Speaking at a press conference here on Saturday, Samiul Haq expressed deep resentment over the statement of Qazi Hussain Ahmed that NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durani had turned his secretariat into a horse-trading headquarters.

He said the MMA was a ideological platform of the Islamic forces to struggle for the implementation of its manifesto, and criticized the Jamaat.

The JUI-S leader urged all political parties to unite on one point agenda and combat foreign manipulation on the internal issues of the country.
