ITF Junior tennis

ISLAMABAD, Aug 26: The qualifying round of ITF Junior international tennis circuit will commence at Islamabad Club clay courts from Saturday. Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) has received nearly 80 entries, both from boys and girls, for the first leg of the prestigious tournament.

The second leg will be played at Lahore from Sept 5 to 11.

Four Pakistanis have been given wildcards in the main draw while as many of their compatriots will appear in the qualifying round.

Those with wildcards are Khurram Nazir, Tanvir Ashiq, Umer Baber and Ahmed Aslam while the Pakistanis in the qualifiers will be Naumanul Haq, Waqas Malik, Ahmed Aslam and Tabish Raza.—APP
