DRO cancels voting in Ferozewala

LAHORE, Aug 25: The Sheikhupura district returning officer reportedly cancelled polling in Ferozewala because of the alleged interference by an MNA and his men. According to reports reaching here, the district returning officer had got an information that MNA Saeed Virk and his men were allegedly interfering in the polling process at a polling station in Union Council No 37. He reached the spot and got the polling cancelled in the presence of the DCO, the DPO and army officers.

Reports said some people were got arrested by the district returning officer while the MNA was given a warning.
