European stocks
LONDON, Aug 25: European stock exchanges retreated on Thursday, with London dropping 0.37 per cent to end the day at 5,255.7. In Paris, the CAC 40 fell 1.04 per cent to 4,378.51 while in Frankfurt the DAX shed 1.22 per cent to finish at 4,856.01.—AFP
