Seniors meet from Sept 14


KARACHI, Aug 24: Top players of the country including 12 Indians and one American have confirmed their participation in Pakistan International Seniors tennis championship commencing from Sept 14 at the Karachi Gymkhana.

The event, which is the International Tennis Federation (ITF) world ranking category 4 event, will conclude on Sept 20.

The ITF sanction these tournaments to national associations all over the world and in Asia, Pakistan have the honour to organise such event along with Thailand.

The Indian players to confirm participation in the event include country’s number one Yogesh Shah, HN Udani, Narendar Hardocha, Patel Pankaj, Sherikant Paresh, PR Rajo, Sunil N Vyas, Viral Parkh, Kishor Choudyhry, Rama Krishna, Rahul Vyas besides American KC Erb.

The last date for entry in the event is Sept 10 while the draws will be taken out on Sept 13 at 6pm.

The categories in the tournament include the events of 35 plus singles and doubles, 45 singles and doubles, 55 singles and doubles, 35 plus ladies singles and doubles.—PPI
