KARACHI: Bail in kidnapping case denied

KARACHI, Aug 24: A Sindh High Court division bench on Wednesday refused bail to two accused facing trial for kidnapping a businessman for ransom. Tahir Mugheri and Wazeer Ahmed are being tried by an anti-terrorism court of Larkana for kidnapping businessman Santosh Kumar, who was freed by police from the custody of the kidnappers. The culprits demanded millions of rupees as ransom. Santosh, brother of a rice mill owner and landlord Rajesh Kumar, was kidnapped on July 4, 2004. The bail applications were heard by a division bench, comprising Justices Ghulam Rabbani and Azizullah M. Memon.
