Zone-I, II ‘W’ in semis

KARACHI, Aug 23: Zone-I and Zone-II Whites advanced to the semifinals of the KCCA Inter-zonal under-17 cricket championship after comfortable victories on Monday.

At the TMC ground, Zone-I Whites beat Zone-VI Whites by 44 runs with off-spinner Tabish Nawab taking four wickets for 38 runs.

Zone-II Whites whipped Zone-VII Blues by 58 runs in the other match at Student ground.

Farhan Rafiq slammed 85 with 13 boundaries while left-arm spinner Adnan Malik took five wickets for 48 and wicket-keeper Tauseef Bhopali had three victims behind the stumps.
