Re-polling in three UCs ordered

GUJRANWALA, Aug 21: District Returning Officer Mazher Husain on Sunday ordered re-polling at seven booths of polling stations in three union council on Aug 25 following violence and suspension of polling.

Re-polling will be held at polling station No.4 of UC-148, polling stations No.3, 4, 5, 6 and 9 of Nangal Doona Singh (Kamoki) UC-149 and polling station No.2 of Wazirabad UC-15.

Assailants had attacked the polling stations on Aug 18 and took away boxes and ballot papers as a result polling remained suspended for several hours.

Meanwhile, candidates continued their election campaign in these union councils.
