LAHORE, Aug 19: Industries in the Sundar Industrial Estate will be supplied electricity at the international rates to enable them to compete in the world market.
Punjab Industrial Estate Development and Management Company chairman Mohsin Syed said this while signing an agreement for the underground power supply system here on Friday.
He said the company would build its own 220MW thermal powerhouse for the supply of electricity on international rates. He said it would reduce the manufacturing cost, and the savings would be available for utilization for improvement in quality.
He said construction of roads and sewerage system was already in progress in the industrial estate. The chief minister wanted the Sundar estate to be a model for other estates. — Reporter
