Smuggling bid foiled in Quetta

QUETTA, Aug 18: A cache of arms and ammunition was seized from the Punchapai area during an operation by the Balochistan Frontier Corps on Thursday. Acting on a tip, the personnel of FC recovered the cache hidden underground in an uninhabited area. The arms included 81 mortar bombs, five hand grenades, one rocket launcher, one rocket, one 12.7mm gun and 170 bombs.

The ammunition was dumped for smuggling inside the country.—Online
