100 appear for trials

ISLAMABAD, Aug 17: Trials to select a Rawalpindi team for the PCB Inter-district seniors cricket championship began at the KRL ground on Wednesday with more than 100 players appearing.

Before the trials, a meeting to firm up some selection matters was held which was attended by chairman of Rawalpindi District Cricket Association (RDCA) ad hoc committee Brig (Retd) Munawwar Ahmed Rana, head of the selection committee Naushad Ali and other members.

The players who turned up for the trials included senior team players and under-19 cricketers of 2004-05 tournament and nominees of RDCA clubs having both voting and playing rights. The trials continue through to Friday.
