By Our Correspondent

KOHAT, Aug 17: The district administration has declared seven union councils sensitive areas and deployed Frontier Constabulary (FC) there to maintain law and order during polling on Thursday.

Similarly, out of 296 polling stations, 168 are being carefully watched as clashes among rival candidates are apprehended there.

Heavy contingents of police and the FC have been deployed there 24 hours ahead of the polling, according to official sources.

The administration has deployed eight platoons of the FC at the sensitive locations.

The union councils declared sensitive are the Urban-III, Jangle Khel, Sumari, Ustarzai, Nasrat Khel, Dhodha and Surgul.
