LANDI KOTAL (Khyber Agency), Aug 17: Activists of the Bara Peace Committee has failed to find any clue to the kidnapping of their head Maulana Ahmad Khan.

Committee’s new chief Nusrat Shah met the political agent and sought his help in tracing the missing Amir.

Unidentified men on Aug 11, 2005, kidnapped Maulana Ahmad Khan, who is also Khyber Agency’s head of the Jamiat Ulama Islam.

Initially, the body had not filed any report of his kidnapping with the political authorities and instead summoned elders of all the seven tribes of Bara tehsil.

The new chief had called a number of outlaws to a meeting in his office, but they denied the kidnapping.
