Women tennis trials

ISLAMABAD, Aug 16: The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) is to hold three-day trials starting on Wednesday to select a team which will take part in the Islamic Women’s Games in Tehran next month. Secretary of PTF, Rashid Khan said that eight girls had been invited to attend the camp at the PTF Complex.

Sarah Mahboob and Amna Hameed who plays in England have been exempted from appearing in the trials.

The players who will fight for the two remaining slots will be Mariam Rahim, Sehar Khawaja, Natasha Afridi, Saba Aziz, Sara Mansoor, Anoosha Aslam, Nida Rahim and Zara Umer. The final squad for the Games will be announced on Friday, Rashid said.
