KARACHI, Aug 16: Five ships carrying containers and sugar are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where half a dozen ships were berthed. They are Ever Guard, Yang Jiang He, and Troyburg to unload and load containers, Sea Ranger, to load cement, Shalamar to offload crude oil and Hannibal-2 to load molasses.

Three ships, Jat Na Mu, Fu Yuan Yu, and F.T.Win Far-161 departed, while Xiang Rui Men, Bona Vista, Hannibal-2 and Shalamar are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side thanks to larger handling of liquid tonnage, rising to 0.125m tons comprising 23,974 tons of export cargo and 0.101m tons of import tonnage including 64,500 tons of oils.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: F.Tabah, Hyundai Highway, Sun, Gyro, with container, Dong Chon Gang, with 12,000 tons of sugar.
