Basil swims to glory

ISLAMABAD, Aug 15: Basil Mazhar won the boys under-13 crown in the Independence Day swimming gala which was sponsored by the Pakistan National Heart Association (PANAH) on Sunday.

The event that took place at the Pakistan Sports Complex pools included competitions for swimmers of various age groups. The aim of the gala was not only to celebrate Independence Day but also to create awareness about heart diseases and ways to prevent them.

Results-Children under-13: Basil Mazhar, Danyal Faisal, Waleed Arshad Teenagers: Ezaam Yusuf, Hasnain Mehmood, Saif Saleem Akram Young men (age 20-40): Hannan Ahmed, Raja Naveed Veterans (over 40): Azam Yousuf, Mazhar Khan, Sohail Afzal Girls under-10: Narmeem Mazhar, Warida Fatima Girls under-12: Rahemeen Yusuf, Umama Aziz Girls under-15: Ramshah Kamran, Amina Baig, Anash Saleem, Amina Rashid Girls under-20: Amina Arshah, Aqsa.
