Two women of a family in the run

SIALKOT, Aug 13: Two women of a family are in the run for the slots of nazim and naib nazim of Ballugan-Sambrial union council and their campaign is in full swing for the Aug 18 showdown.

According to reports, Rubina Gulzar Mir, a doctor by profession, is trying her luck for the office of nazim and her sister-in-law Begum Khushnood Akhtar is eyeing the naib nazim’s slot.

The two aspirants told Dawn on Saturday that the idea of (area’s) women development had brought them in politics and they had got a good response so far.
