KARACHI, Aug 13: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad approving the purchase of 20 fire tenders and 20 ambulances for the city directed the city government to take immediate steps in this regard.

Talking to the fire brigade staff during his surprise visit to the city on Friday night, the governor had an appraisal about their requirements and resources.

On Friday night the governor, along with his wife and officials went round various city areas.

He first went to the Mazar of Abdullah Shah Ghazi at Clifton where development work in the courtyard of the Mazar and outer path was in progress.

Ibad appreciated the labourers for working there late in the night.

Meanwhile on the governor’s directives, the KBCA has started the white washing and cleaning of selected buildings in the city.—APP
