Fatima Jinnah clinch title

LAHORE, Aug 12: Fatima Jinnah XI won the Lahore City Independence Day hockey tournament beating Raana Liaquat Ali Khan XI 4-3 on penalty-strokes in the final at the National Hockey Stadium on Friday.

The score was 1-1 at the end of stipulated time.

For Fatima Jinnah XI Ainee Rana scored a goal in the first half which was equalized by Razia Malik in the second half.

On penalty strokes, Fatima Jinnah XI cashed in on three out of five while the losers could convert only two.

VOLLEYBALL: In another event organized by the Lahore City Government, Fatima Jinnah XI trounced Raana Liaquat Ali Khan XI 3-0 in a volleyball match.

The winners notched up victory with the score being 25-18, 25-20, 25-19.

For the winners, Mehwish, Saadia, Bushra and Mehak played well.
