Man shot dead

RAWALPINDI, Aug 12: A man was gunned down in a robbery attempt, while two houses were ransacked here on Friday, police said. Khuda-i-Noor, 65, was heading towards a bank in Sadiqabad to purchase application forms for Sector I-15 when three motorcyclists intercepted him near Abdullah Masjid.

The victim was shot dead by the robbers when he refused to hand them over Rs70,000. He was taken to the Rawalpindi General Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.—Staff Reporter
