BAHAWALPUR, Aug 10: The Yazman police on Wednesday registered a case against four people, including an Islamabad based doctor, for extracting the kidney of a man. The case was registered on the complaint of Asghar Ali, who alleged that Shahzad, Boota and Ishaq abducted his son Amjad on the pretext of providing him a job in Islamabad.

They took him to Islamabad where with the alleged connivance of a doctor, they removed his kidney and sold it for Rs236,000.

Police have reportedly arrested Shahzad while the remaining two are still at large. The doctor, who removed the kidney has not yet been identified.

Amjad told police that he was administered an injection and he fell unconscious after which the doctor removed his kidney. — Correspondent
