ISLAMABAD, Aug 9: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday named former Test cricketer and umpire Javed Akhtar in place of Abdul Mohi Shah on the ad hoc committee of the Rawalpindi District Cricket Association (RDCA).

The PCB had suspended the membership of RDCA last week and appointed a three-man ad hoc committee with Brig (Retd) Munawar Ahmad Rana at the helm and Tahir Ansari and Shah as its members.

However, Shah has since expressed his inability to accept the position as it conflicts with his professional commitments as a journalist.
