SHEIKHUPURA, Aug 9: Three people, including two brothers, were killed and two others injured seriously in separate road accidents in and around the city on Tuesday. Two brothers, Abid and Nasir, were killed and their relatives, Malik Imran and Tariq, injured when their car rammed into a truck near the Sheikhupura toll plaza on the motorway.
Sadar police have arrested truck driver Taj Mohammad.
In the second accident, Farman Ali was killed when a speedy oil tanker hit him near Javed Nagar on the Lahore Road.
The man was crossing the road when he met with an accident.
KIDNAPPED: Two girls were kidnapped from different parts of the district on Tuesday.
In Mudhke village, Waris along with two accomplices kidnapped the daughter of a labourer, Rafique.
Shan kidnapped the daughter of Shakoor of the Chattha Colony.
INJURED: Asif was injured seriously in firing by a candidate, Tariq, and six accomplices in the jurisdiction of the Ferozewala police on Tuesday.
The police have registered a case against Tariq and accomplices.
