U-17 trials

LAHORE, Aug 8: Punjab Hockey Association (PHA) will select the Lahore region team for participation in the national U-17 hockey championship being held at Faisalabad from Aug 23 to 31. To select the team PHA will hold trials at the National Hockey Stadium on Aug 10 and 11 at 3pm.

The PHA is holding trials as the Lahore District Hockey Association has been split into two factions. The PHA named a four member selection committee headed by Chaudhary Iftikhar Ahmed. Olympian Navid Alam, Ashraf Khan (Okara) and Iqbal Anjum (Kasur) are three members of the committee. Players born on or after Aug 31, 1988 are eligible to appear in the trials.
