Junaid shines in U-17 cricket

KARACHI, Aug 8: Slow left-armer Mohammad Junaid grabbed five for 46 to spin Zone-VII Whites to a 28-run victory over Zone-II Blues in the KCCA under-17 Inter-zonal cricket tournament at Asifabad Sports ground on Sunday. Batting first, Zone-VI Whites made 212 for nine with Zakir Afridi hitting six boundaries in scoring 57 and Hafiz Ashar cracking 53 with four fours.

Leg-spinner Ahmedullah captured six for 62.

Zone-II Blues, in reply, were bowled out for 184 in the 49th over.
