Three shot dead in Ghotki

SUKKUR, Aug 8: Three people, two of them brothers, were gunned down by armed men when they were going on a motorcycle in Ghotki on Monday. The deceased were identified as Shah Nawaz, Mashooq, sons of Hussain Bux Dharejo, and Sher Dil, son of Suhail Bozdar.

Police sources said they were killed in revenge of a man, Ghazi Mangrio, shot dead in Ghotki in 2003. The gunmen chased them on a separate motorcycle and opened fire on them when they reached on the National Highway.

The accused fled from the place after the murder. Hundreds of people blocked the highway near Ghotki and demanded that killers be arrested. A police team ended the blockade but no FIR was registered till filing this report.

KILLED: A woman was gunned down by armed men in Gullan Laghari village in Ghotki district on Sunday. She was identified as Jannat Laghari, wife of Mohabat Laghari.

ARMY RECRUITMENT: The commanding officer of 880 Mujahid Training Battalion, Pano Akil Cantonment, has announced the schedule of recruitment in the force.

According to the schedule the recruitment for candidates of the district will be conducted from Aug 9 to 10, Shikarpur, on Aug 11 and Larkana from Aug 12 to 13, respectively, according to an official hand out issued on Monday.
