KARACHI, Aug 7: Aurangzaib’s second half equaliser helped Balochistan force a 1-1 draw with PTCL in the All-Pakistan Governor’s Gold Cup hockey at Hockey Club of Pakistan on Sunday. A Rizwanul Haq goal for PTCL in the 44th minute was cancelled out by Aurangzaib in the 52nd minute.

Five-goal Khalid Mahmood’s hat trick gave Habib bank (HBL) a 8-1 win over PWD. A goal in the third minute by Khalid was followed by consolation goal by Uzair Ahmad of PWD in the seventh minute. Khalid slotted home two more in the 20th and 28th minutes to complete the hat trick.

Khalid netted his fourth in the 44th minute before Kashif Jawwad slammed home his first the next minute and got his double in the 57th minute. Khalid was on target in the 60th minute for the fifth time, while Mohammad Khalid completed the tally two minutes before time.

In a one-side match, PIA crushed Sindh 13-2. Monday’s fixtures: NBP v Balochistan; SSGC v Pakistan Police; Pakistan Navy v Customs.
