Unseeded Sara stuns Natasha

ISLAMABAD, Aug 5: Unseeded Sara Mansoor stormed into the under-17 final of the National women’s ranking tennis on Friday at the PTF Complex upsetting fourth seed Natasha Afridi. Sara dropped the first set but bounced back in great style to stun Natasha, winning 1-4, 4-1, 5-3.

Her opponent in Saturday’s final will be Anoosha Aslam who earned a walkover against Nida Rahim.

Sara Mahboob and Natasha Afridi claimed the doubles title with a 7-6(6), 6-1 victory over Sara Mansoor and Zainab Khan.

Results: Girls under-17 singles semifinals: Anoosha Aslam w/o Nida Rahim, Sara Mansoor bt Natasha Afridi 1-4, 4-1, 5-3.

Doubles final: Sara Mahboob-Natasha Afridi bt Sara Mansoor-Zainab Khan 7-6(6), 6-1.
