Double crown for Ashfaq
ISLAMABAD, Aug 4: Ashfaq Mahmood claimed a double crown in the Staff Welfare Running Trophy Badminton Tournament winning both the singles and doubles events. In an engrossing singles final, Ashfaq edged Kashif Majeed 15-9, 12-15, 15-10 and later teamed up with him to beat the pair of Sajjad Yousaf and Dr. Abid 12-15, 15-8, 15-9 for the doubles title. Tanveer Ahmed and Anwar Hussain took the veterans’ doubles honours defeating Pervez Butt and Noman Khalid 15-12, 9-15, 15- 13.
