NAWABSHAH, Aug 4: Police on Wednesday registered cases against former nazims and PPP-backed Awam Dost Panel candidates on the charges of water theft. The Bandhi police booked former nazim of the UC Abul Hassan and candidates for UC Bandhi Abdul Haq Jamali and ADP candidate Bachal Jamali in water theft cases.

The Daur police booked Syed Iftikhar Shah and candidates of the ADP for UC Buchheri on the charges of water theft.

The Taluka police lodged an FIR against the district food controller, Ayub Rind, his son and former UC nazim, Mumtaz Rind, sub-engineer irrigation, Ghulam Sarwar Korai, Darogho Karim Dino Dahri, ADP candidate for UC Chanesar-I, Zakir Zardari, his brother Khadim Zardari and PPP activist Raza Zardari in different cases of water theft.
