CM supports Balochistan projects

Published August 5, 2005

QUETTA, Aug 4: Chief Minister Jam Mohammad Yousuf said on Thursday that his understanding with the centre had resulted in major development programmes for the province while unnecessary confrontations in the past had led to poverty and ignorance.

Speaking at a public gathering near Mastung, the chief minister claimed that people had rejected the negative and narrow-minded politics of nationalists and tribesmen had realized that the Pakistan Muslim League was a moderate and democratic party which could solve their problems.

He said anti-progress forces would fail in their efforts to mislead people about the large development projects.

He said people were interested in solution of their problems instead of confrontation with the centre on unimportant matters. He said a confrontational attitude would push the province on the path backwardness.

He claimed that the development projects launched by the federal government would bring about prosperity and economic progress would change people’s lifestyle.
