KARACHI: People told to participate in LB polls

KARACHI, Aug 4: The Sindh Home Minister, Rauf Siddiqui, has said that to take part in the elections is a national obligation and everyone should fully participate in all election processes including local body elections without any fear.

“Should anyone dare to take the law into his hands, strict punishment will be given to the law breakers and their mentors,” he said while addressing a joint open katchery of the police, area notables and social welfare organizations in Nazimabad on Wednesday night.

Mr Siddiqui said he had been continuously receiving information that law and order in Sindh was not good and, therefore, he had decided to visit each village and town of Sindh. He announced commendation certificates and cash reward for the SHO and staff of the Rizvia and Nazimabad Police stations.

In the case of any error by or shortcoming from the law enforcers, the same should be pinpointed by the people, he added. — APP
