4 troops hurt in blast


MIRANSHAH, Aug 2: At least four soldiers were wounded on Tuesday when a remote-controlled bomb hit their vehicle in tribal area near the Afghan border, an army officer said. The wounded were treated in hospital after the morning attack in the Naridog area, some 10 kilometres north of Miranshah, the capital of North Waziristan district, the army officer said. It was not immediately clear who was behind the attack.—AFP
