Two athletes for Helsinki

LAHORE, Aug 2: Gul Naz Ara and Afzal Beg will leave for Finland on Wednesday to represent Pakistan as wild card entries in the World athletics championship to be held in Helsinki from Aug 6 to 13. Salman Butt, a former international athlete, will accompany the team as coach. Gul Naz will compete in 800 metre race while Afzal features in 100m race. Similarly, Afzal Beg, who also competed in 100m race in the first Islamic Games held in Saudi Arabia in April, would improve his performance to achieve better results in the next SAF Games being held next year in Sri Lanka.
