By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, July 28: The boundary wall of an amenity plot in Gulshan-i-Iqbal’s Block 4-A (Journalists’ Society) was razed by a contractor for dumping building material, including machines, masonry blocks and sand.

The contractor, who has been constructing and carpeting Abdul Ispahani Road claims he has been allowed to use the amenity plot for keeping his building material and other paraphernalia by the city government officials.

Denouncing the contractor for indulging in such an illegal and unlawful act, the Journalists’ Society’s Welfare Association’s (JSWA) general secretary, Mohammad Jami, said the 1,000 square yards amenity plot was meant for the Journalists’ Society’s community hall and no one had the right to use it for any other purpose.
