Umpires’ clinic from Aug 10

KARACHI, July 26: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has invited 22 officials belonging to departments and divisions to attend national umpires’ clinic being held at the Hockey Club of Pakistan Stadium from Aug 10 to 14. A spokesman for the PHF said on Tuesday that the clinic which is part of PHF’s development plan will run during the all Pakistan Sindh Governor’s Gold Cup hockey tournament which begins from Aug 6.

The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has nominated Kukoo Walia from India to conduct the clinic. He will be assisted by member AHF umpiring committee, Ashraf Chaudhary and former international umpire, Dr. M. Khalil.

Those invited are Rana Muhammad Liaquat (AG Punjab), Syed Zulfiqar Haider (Pol), Haider Rasool (ABL), Shahzad Mahmood (Burewala), Mahmood Anwar Dar (Gujrat), Ehsanul Haq Babar, Zaheer Ahmed (Rwp), Munawwar Hussain (PTCL), Kamran Shah (Wapda), Mohsin Ali Khan (Kar), Zulfiqar Hussain (Suk), Rana Khalid Iqbal (F’abad), Amir Ali, Nadeem Akhtar (Qta), M. Ashraf Awan (AJK), Muhammad Anwar, Jamil Butt , Kamran Hussain (Army), Ubaid-ur-Rehman, Dilawar Bhatti (Wapda), Mubarik Ali (Guj) and Muhammad Asif (Kohat).
