KARACHI, July 26: A judicial magistrate rejected on Tuesday the bail application of a journalist facing charges of publishing ‘hate material’. Abdul Latif Abu Shamil, an assistant editor of the Friday Special magazine, was arrested a week ago by police in a raid at his office.
Police charged that the weekly magazine contained articles which could incite sentiments of people against other sects or religions. — PPI
