KARACHI, July 26: Three ships carrying containers, edible oil and chemicals were berthed at QICT, MPT and EVT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, another ship with chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy stood at 67 per cent as six ships, Tern, Brianna, Fotini Lady, Marine Poineer, Sinar Sabang and Wadi-Al-Halfa, were busy in loading and unloading containers, diesel oil, edible oil, chemicals and coal.

A cargo volume of 44,737 tons comprising 33,364 tons of import cargo and 11,373 tons of export tonnage was handled. Sailing was active as Deila and Fotini Lady left the port while Brianna, Marine Poineer and Sinar Sabang were expected to depart. Two ships, Merker Beach and Blue Dream, carrying containers and wheat were expected to take berths at QICT and MPT respectively.
