KARACHI, July 26: Eight vessels carrying coal, palm oil and steel cargo are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Nefeli-1, Manila Bay, Hanjin Busan to unload and load containers, Dian Queen to offload and load general cargo and Bunga Cenderawash, to unload palm oil, were berthed after the departure of three.
Three ships, Hanjin Harmony, Darya Yog and Bao Heng Men departed on Tuesday, while Nefeli-1, Cituius and Multan are due to sail out on Wednesday. Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 82,863 tons comprising 19,206 tons of export cargo and 63,657 tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following ships are due on Wednesday: Celtic Terrier, with 12,500 tons of palm oil, Hyundai Future, Y.M. Star, Thor Captain, Kota Wihaya, with containers, Maritime Skill and Ulysses-2, with 40,300 and 39,912 tons of coal and Suze Express, with 3,609 tons of steel and general cargo.
